ITC Infotech provided a cost effective ‘out-of-the-box’ solution to monitor the
client infrastructure consisting of network devices, UNIX and Wintel servers, which
was further extended later by adding more UNIX servers. ITC Infotech solution co-existed
with the existing management toolsets at the client site, without compromising the
operations teams’ ability to manage their environment.
ITC Infotech set up a fully functional dedicated helpdesk for the client at the
offshore facilities in Bangalore, within a short notice.
This helpdesk started monitoring
the client infrastructure remotely and providing the required seamless support to
data centers of the client facilities in UK. The offshore team at Bangalore was
responsible for keeping the device information updated and also providing services
such as Real-time snapshots of the infrastructure, Demand / availability information,
Monitoring status on faults, Defining thresholds with the client etc.
Some of the highlights of this project include:
- Real-time dashboards showing the current health of the infrastructure.
- Notifications and alerts in the event of failure and threshold breaks
- 24 x 7 monitoring service
- Reporting of availability, performance and failures over a given period
- Recommended approach for future state environment envisioned in the project objectives
