License Key application for leading supplier of gaming equipment
Customer

Our customer is a leading supplier of gaming equipment, network systems, services in the United States and internationally. They also have a suite of integrated casino management solutions.

Business Need

There are local variations of games created outside of the US and there was need to have the international subsidiaries generate the licenses locally but in a controlled manner.

How We Helped

The solution that ITC Infotech proposed was an application built on the Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). This application could be deployed locally at the subsidiaries outside of the United States. The application would write the valid license information for the product into the “SafeNet iKey 1000”. Checks and controls were built into place by connecting into the web services available at their manufacturing plant in the US to ensure controlled burn and de-activation of the licenses at the international subsidiaries.

Since this was a very sensitive application, the user access at the subsidiaries was controlled from the customer global active directory using the LDAP Services.

The modules provided
  • Central Admin Console
  • Entitlements
  • AVP Burn License internationally
  • De-activate License internationally
  • Reports
  • Audit trail and logging
Business Benefits

When the license was being generated centrally in the US, the subsidiaries had to sent across the “SafeNet iKey 1000” to the US office for getting the valid licensing information burned into it.

With the decentralized application, the local subsidiaries could carry out the same and the time delay was eliminated, without loss of control over the licenses being distributed.
